Last year I found this sled on Facebook Buy Sell Trade and couldn’t have been more excited! It was the perfect $15 addition to my Christmas/winter decorations!
I had originally planned to paint or refinish it, but this year I decided instead of getting rid of the old, I would embrace it! I found some decorations that had a rustic touch and dressed the sled up a bit!
After testing to make sure I liked how everything looks, I started putting everything together!
After cutting off most of the stem, I tucked the Flocked Sprays under the metal of the sled and hot glued them into place. Michael’s also had the perfect rustic bells! They were originally a Bell Door Hanger, but I just cut the majority of the hanger off and attached the bells with hot glue. Last, I took some ribbon and made a bow to cover where the sprays and bells were attached, and it was the perfect little addition! It was a Michael’s inspired craft day for sure!!
This sled could be inside or outside decorations! We have a covered front porch so I feel like that is where it will end up!
The wreath is from Walmart! I found the best flocked wreathes and garland there this year!
