Back Porch Tour -

Most people that know Mike and I, know that we would basically live on our back porch if the weather would allow it! We just re-decorated it, in hopes to create a little place to step away from reality, and I am SO EXCITED to share it with you!

Here is a quick before of our back porch. It was fine, but we felt it wasn’t living up to its true potential 🙂

Although we loved our first set of patio furniture, it was a bit bulky and we weren’t able to rearrange the seating. Our new sectional is able to be a 6 seat sectional that allows all 6’5” of Mike to lounge (with room to spare) or can break apart into a single seat.

My personal favorite addition to the back porch are the curtains and shades. The shades made it so much more private without completely closing off the space and the curtains added the perfect little cozy feel. Our neighbors aren’t right on top of us, but they are too close for my liking. The shades make the porch feel like an extra room in our house rather than a deck. And we are able to roll them up whenever we want!

Mike’s favorite addition were the market lights he added around the roof of the porch. He connected them to Alexa, which makes it so easy to turn them off and on! They are perfect for an evening on the porch watching movies! Not too bright, but enough light to see your popcorn 🙂
