DIY Bathroom Cleaning Brush

You know you’re a clean freak when you get excited about an easier way to clean!

This DIY tool is great whether you are completely OCD (and clean all the time) or you hate cleaning! It cuts your cleaning time in half and makes your shower, toilet, baseboard (whatever you choose to clean) look great!

Materials

  • Soap Dispenser Brush
  • Nut
  • Washer
  • Machine Screw
  • Power Drill (run by batteries, not a cord)

Instructions

  1. Purchase a soap dispenser brush (I got ours from Kroger – $2.99)Clean in Half the Time! | DIY Bathroom Cleaner | Drill Power Brush
  2. Remove the top and plastic cap from the dispenser. Only leaving the bristle and white section.
  3. Use a drill to puncture the intention in the center of the brush. Create a hole large enough for the screw to fit. I used a 2 1/2 inch long screw.
  4. From the bristle side of the brush, place the screw through the hole you formed.
  5. Then, from the back of the brush, place the washer and nut onto the screw and tighten until it secures the screw to the brush.Clean in Half the Time! | DIY Bathroom Cleaner | Drill Power Brush
  6. Attach the screw to the drill.Clean in Half the Time! | DIY Bathroom Cleaner | Drill Power Brush
  7. Spray your choice of bathroom cleaner on the shower and wait the necessary time (per the instructions on the back of the bottle).
  8. Place the drill on the dirty area and start the drill. Our drill has a guide light which is definitely an added perk for cleaning!Clean in Half the Time! | DIY Bathroom Cleaner | Drill Power Brush

It’s as easy as that! The drill will do all the grunt work for you!

The brush above is the brush I typically use to wash our dishes before putting them in the dish washer. When it is time to get a new kitchen brush, I replace the brush on the drill with the old kitchen brush!!

Honestly, the possibilities are endless on the amount of areas you can clean with this power brush! I would recommend having different brushes for different areas. For example, if you are going to clean your baseboards, I would not recommend using the same brush you used for your bathroom.
