31 Life Lessons in 31 Years

I turned 31 on Wednesday, and I far from have everything figured out. Lets be honest, I’m a hot mess half the time! But what I’ve learned is, that’s okay! I decided to put together a list of 31 life lessons I’ve learned in my 31 years! Hope you enjoy!

  1. Don’t just make it through each day; live each day, experience each day, celebrate each day.
  2. You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress at the same time.
  3. Prioritize experiences.
  4. Don’t look past the present to the future. You will miss the most crucial part, the journey. Find joy in the journey.
  5. Adversity is opportunity.
  6. You determine your happiness. Attitude is everything.
  7. Perfection is boring.
  8. Make yourself a priority.
  9. Newer isn’t always better, look for the beauty in the old.
  10. It’s not the quantity of friends, it’s the quality.
  11. There are so many reasons to be happy, don’t focus on the reason not to be.
  12. Say yes to new adventures.
  13. Believe in miracles.
  14. You are stronger than you believe, smarter than you think and loved more than you know.
  15. A little progress each day adds up to big results.
  16. Surround yourself with people who build you up.
  17. Grow through what you go through.
  18. You have everything inside you to be and do anything you want.
  19. Stay patient and trust your journey.
  20. Your family is the most precious thing you will ever have in life.
  21. Start each day with a grateful heart.
  22. You only get one body, treat it kindly.
  23. What doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.
  24. Stop worrying, it gets you no where and solves nothing.
  25. It’s okay to say no. Do what YOU want to do.
  26. A strong support network is everything. Find your tribe, love them hard.
  27. Be unapologetically you.
  28. Travel as much as you can. Explore the world.
  29. The little things turn into the big things. Don’t miss them.
  30. Be thankful for what you already have, while you pursue all that you want.
  31. Sharing your journey with others is scary, yet so important. Important to show the real you. Important to allow them to join in on the journey. By reading this you have become a part of my journey.
